Emma Paxton has been making jewelry since she was seven, when she was given a bead kit for Christmas. This sparked a passion for jewelry-making that has continued throughout the years. Emma’s other passions include music, which she has been playing also since childhood; and in which she minored, with a B.A. in psychology, at the University of New Hampshire.
Based in northern New Jersey, Emma makes an array of handmade jewelry, including a line that is eco-conscious, utilizing recycled materials. Her jewelry is eclectic by nature, as she enjoys experimenting with different tastes & styles. “My slogan is ‘something for everyone’ & I hope that is genuinely the case.” While her jewelry is diverse, there is still a cohesiveness to it. “I think diversity is important, & I like to think my diverse taste is a reflection of the town I grew up in, Montclair, well known for its diversity.”
EMP Designs has been featured in juried art shows, markets in New York City, shops, & more. You can find her jewelry online at empdesign.etsy.com
